Designed to spin angora, the Support Spindle wants to spin a fine yarn. It is excellent for spinning all exotics, especially cashmere, baby yak down, and our favorite silks. We also enjoy spinning a nice merino or corriedale wool top on the spindle. And we do our best cotton spinning on the Support Spindle. The Support Spindle weighs 11 ounces, is 6 1/2" high, and the whorl measures 2" across. The Support Spindle is an excellent tool for the beginning spinner to learn on, there's no need to coordinate treadling and your hand movements.
